Research skills and legal image use
Not everything online is true, free or yours to use.
"Find me a photo of the Prime Minister in 30 seconds — but only one you can legally use in a school poster." Students scramble. Most get it wrong. Reveal the correct approach.
Students receive a research brief about a current technology issue (e.g. AI in healthcare, electric vehicles, social media and mental health). They must: (1) Find 3 sources using SIFT and rate each for credibility. (2) Find 2 legally usable images with correct attribution. (3) Summarise their findings in a structured Word Online with sources cited. (4) Add their CC-attributed images with captions.

AI can't tell you if images are copyright-free. Always check manually. AI outputs also don't have reliable sources — they need to be verified using SIFT.
